9. 510 Moonlight Cir, New Braunfels, TX- Rumor has it this one passes out candy canes and the whole cul-de-sac participates!

Other Exciting Local Christmas Events
Downtown New Braunfels Christmas Lighting– Friday, November 17, 2017 at 6:00PM. Everyone is invited to join in the ceremony and countdown to where the Mayor will “flip the switch” to officially light downtown New Braunfels and Santa will arrive on a vintage fire truck! There will be music, pictures with Santa will be available for $10.
Festival of Trees New Braunfels– This unique event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 29 and 30th from 11:00am to 8:00pm and Friday, Dec. 1 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. All proceeds are donated to Comal County Senior Center and to CTAS.Christmas trees will be on display that have all been donated and decorated by clubs, churches, businesses and individuals from the community for a silent auction. If you are the high bidder at the end of the week, your tree will be delivered FREE to your home! There will also be a bake sale, raffle and Santa Claus will be visiting with the kiddos from 4pm-7pm on Tuesday- Thursday!
Gruene Town Lighting-Gruene, TX- Saturday, December 2, 2015 at 5-6:30pm. Who doesn’t love the quaint Texas feel of Gruene… now add Kris Kringle on horseback and lighting the town up in Christmas lights! Don’t forget to bring your Christmas cards and have them stamped with the official Gruene, TX holiday postmark starting at 10 AM the Pony Express riders set up a temporary post office next to the General Store.
Wassailfest-Thursday, December 7th, 2017at 6:00 PM. This isn’t really a lights festival, but the beautiful lights of downtown New Braunfels are the backdrop for this event. It has to be my favorite event in our special town. The businesses and shops downtown serve Wassail. What is Wassail you ask? It’s a magical warm drink or hot mulled punch. Recipes can include different things like wine, cider, and spices and in history is a toast to good health! Walk around amongst the 100,000’s of christmas lights, listen to christmas music, eat holiday treats, shop and try all of the Wassail! Then you can vote for your favorite Wassail in the People’s Choice Award.
Live Nativity at the Christ Presbyterian Church– December 13-14, 2017 from 6pm -8pm- Classic Christmas Live Nativity with Animals that people come from miles to see.
Dancing Nativity- On Saturday, December 9th at 4pm Designed to Dance Company is presenting their 3rd annual “Christmas Traditions”. Act One is fun Christmas music with ballet, tap, and jazz and Act Two is a dancing Nativity . The dancers are 3 years old-16 years old. Tickets are only $5 in advance ($8 at the door). Go watch this great show and then walk to the Hometown Holiday Christmas Parade!
Check out the New Braunfels Hometown Holiday Christmas Parade and Market in the heart of New Braunfels on December 9th, starting at 5:30pm. The Christmas Market will be held at the Elks Lodge from 10:00am- 3pm. The awesome lighted Jeeps from NB Jeep Club Trail Team 6 that everyone loves will be in the parade!
Santa’s Ranch– Located on IH35 between New Braunfels and San Marcos, Santa’s Ranch has become one of the favorite drive through light displays in Texas! Open from November 3rd- December 31st 6pm-10pm on weeknights and 6pm-11pm on the weekend take in the beautiful lights, animated displays, and enjoy delicious homemade hot cocoa, kettle corn and other snacks for sale. Tickets are sold at the gate and you can buy a single or season pass!
The Riverwalk– this is truly one of the most breathtaking and unique light displays and worth the short trip to San Antonio. The majestic Cypress trees that line the Riverwalk are filled with Christmas lights and over 6,000 luminarias line the walkways on weekends for The Fiesta De Las Luminarias.
Windcrest Neighborhood Light Up– The annual Windcrest Light Up has been a tradition for 58 years! Residents decorate their homes with elaborate displays and a contest is held to pick the most beautifully decorated homes Lght Up begins with an opening ceremony in mid-December and lasts through New Year’s Eve. You can pick up a map provided by the City of Windcrest at City Hall located at 8601 Midcrown Dr.
Winter Wonderland at Circuit of the Americas– This is a new event starting this year! The Circuit’s Grand Plaza and surrounding grounds will be a festival of lights, music and fun.
What to expect? According to the website,”There will be a million lights with fantastic activations, including Santa’s workshop, a petting zoo, a human snow globe, holiday movies on the lawn, a walking light trail, and the world-famous Tunnel of Lights! Guests can purchase tickets for additional events which will include a hot air balloon float up to 100-feet high, Santa’s train ride for kids, a giant skating rink, camel rides, carnival rides for both children and adults, and souvenir photos with Santa Claus. Families who donate a book to the Pizza Hut BOOKIT! Program at Winter Wonderland will receive one complimentary ride on the COTA Express. Guests can also hear their favorite stories read daily by Santa’s better-half at the Mrs. Claus Reading Hour in the Grand Plaza. Adults are invited to enjoy a frosty beverage and friendly games in the Bud Light Friends Chalet after walking the .8 mile Circuit of Lights.”
Austin Trail of Lights– in Zilker Park- with the Big tree that you spin under! This one is always a big hit with the kiddos…but remember, spinning causes dizziness. Depending on the night you go, tickets are different prices. See the schedule here
Johnson City, TX-
Hill Country Lights Spectacular- Then the entire town glows through the holiday season with more than 100,000 lights twinkling on the Blanco County Courthouse and a lighted forest of more than 1 million lights at the Pedernales Electric Coop’s Headquarters on Avenue F.
Marble Falls, TX-
Walkway of Lights- Be dazzled by more than a million lights on 230 sculptures a giant lighted pole tree and tunnel as you stroll along Lake Marble Falls and see the lights glistening off of the water. Definitely worth the drive.
